Information You Submit
A name, phone number, or address entered in a search form is sent to the third-party service that supplies those results. Lee's Summit Residents Directory does not keep a separate copy of those search entries. A message sent through the contact route contains only the information included in that message and is used to respond.
Automatically Collected Data
Hosting systems create routine logs, such as an IP address, browser type, requested pages, and time of request. Those records are reviewed in aggregate to maintain the service and understand general traffic. Cookies or similar tools may be used for basic analytics and, when applicable, advertising measurement.
How Information Is Used
Information is used to operate the service, correct technical problems, measure overall traffic, and improve the reference material. Visitor lists are not sold, and the service does not create individual visitor profiles.
External Services and Links
Links may lead to Jackson County records portals, Lee's Summit city resources, Missouri agencies, library collections, archives, and sponsored search services. The privacy policy of the destination controls information submitted there. That includes any sponsored result supplied by a third party.
Service Providers and Disclosures
Hosting and support providers may process ordinary server-log data on our behalf. Analytics and advertising providers can receive the automatic information described above. Information is disclosed when a valid legal requirement applies, and otherwise only as needed to operate the service.
Safeguards and Retention
The service uses an encrypted connection, and routine logs are retained only for the operational purposes described here. There are no visitor accounts, passwords, or saved personal profiles maintained by Lee's Summit Residents Directory.
Visitors Under 18
The service is intended for adults and is not directed to children. Personal information from a person under 18 is not knowingly collected. If you believe that a minor sent information through the contact route, notify us so it can be removed.
Your Privacy Choices
The Missouri sources reviewed did not identify a comprehensive state consumer-privacy statute that creates a universal deletion right or a single data-broker opt-out. A request about information held by this service can be sent through the Contact page; the contact mailbox and available logs will be checked and information found there will be removed when appropriate. Public records are controlled by their custodians, not by this service. For example, contact Jackson County Assessment about a parcel record, the Recorder of Deeds about a recorded-document issue, or the Lee's Summit City Clerk about city records. Missouri Sunshine Law, Chapter 610, assigns request and written-policy duties to public custodians under §610.023 and §610.028.
Changes to This Policy
Any revised version of this policy will appear here. Continued use after a revision indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
